OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR: Greg Peterson
DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR: Brent Guy
LAST LEAGUE TITLE: 2005
LAST TIME DIDN’T GO BOWLING: 2009
RETURNING STARTERS: 14; 6 offense, 7 defense, punter
PLAYERS TO WATCH: RB Ja’Terian Douglas, RB Trey Watts, HB Willie Carter, C Trent Dupy, LB Shawn Jackson, S Dexter McCoil
PRIMARY STRENGTHS: Tulsa has to find a new quarterback, but it has plenty of depth at the skill positions. The team also has plenty of options in the defensive tackle position and playmakers in the secondary. If Tulsa gets a few breaks, it should be in contention for the league title.
POTENTIAL PROBLEMS: Replacing a decorated quarterback such as G.J. Kinne is never easy. Dealing with the loss of most of the offensive line could compound potential scoring problems. Tulsa’s defense hasn’t proved its good enough to carry the team; untested special teams players could prove costly.
